ODBC Wizard: Filters

The Filters dialog lets you filter out the records that you do not need.

Database Filters lets you specify the condition to be met. The condition consists of a name of a column, an operation, and a comparison string, for example a condition First Name is John will select all the recipients whose first name is John. You must click on the Add button for the condition to take effect.

Add adds the current condition to the list. Once you click on the Add button, you will see the condition added to the list.

Remove removes the currently selected condition from the list.

Remove All clears the list of conditions.

Import only records that meet all of the conditions above Only the records that meet all the criteria will be selected. For example, if you have two conditions (First Name = John) and (Last Name = Smith) and four records - John Gray, Bill Smith, Bill Jones, and John Smith, only John Smith will be imported.

Import only records that meet any of the conditions above The records that meet any of the criteria will be selected. For example, if you have two conditions (First Name = John) and (Last Name = Smith) and four records - John Gray, Bill Smith, Bill Jones, and John Smith, then three of them (John Gray, Bill Smith, and John Smith) will be imported.

For more details, see How to Import Recipients from ODBC Databases.
