Message Tab

Use Message Tab to prepare the text of your message.

The From box lets you select a sender for the message. AY Mail maintains the list of senders that you can use in your project. Select the sender from the list, or click on the From button, to display the Senders dialog and edit the list of senders.

The To field lets you select whether you want to send your message to all recipients, or to a group that you have defined before. AY Mail maintains a list of groups that you can use in your project. Select the group from the list, or click on the To button, to display the Groups dialog and edit the list of the available groups. The groups you define are not lists but the set of conditions describing how to pick recipients from the for delivery.

Send non-personalized messages whenever possible is the default AY Mail behavior. For more details, see Personalized versus Non-personalized Messages.

Always send personalized messages will force AY Mail to send personalized messages even when it would be possible to send non-personalized messages. For more details, see Personalized versus Non-personalized Messages.

The Subject box lets you edit the subject line for your message.

The text of the message appears below the Subject box.

The message can be either plain text or HTML code. Use the Format button to bring up the Message Format dialog and choose between plain text and HTML.

If you select HTML format you will see two tabs over the message text. The WYSIWYG tab lets you edit the text using built-in What You See Is What You Get HTML editor. The HTML Code tab lets you edit raw HTML code. For more details, see HTML.

You can use Macros in the text of the message to merge the text of your message with different Data Fileds from the recipient list or otherwise personalize your messages.

If you want to attach files to your message, click on Attachment button to open the Attachments dialog and select the files that you need. The number of the attached files is displayed on the bottom left corner of the Message tab.
